Hey! I’m Emma, it’s nice to meet you!
I’ve been writing - on Instagram - about my favourite foodie spots, and great local craft beer scene, for a little under 2 years at this point – and it’s what lights me up!
I’ve always had a passion for food & flavours, regularly going into the city with my Dad on weekends to visit whatever restaurant his colleagues had recommended - it was a long list and anything could be on the menu! From the best bagels in Vancouver (Solly's) to little ramen shops with magical broth - I was game for it all!
I am also lucky enough to have incredible friends, and although their tastebuds might be slightly less adventurous, they are always up to try the newest foodie spot I'm talking about.
Together, these experiences instilled the love of food & flavour that I have today, and remain some of my favourite memories.
Initially, I started @We.Eat.Vancity on Instagram to support local businesses during lockdown, and I never would have guessed it would bring me here. I get to review some of the best bites and beers in the city, have had the opportunity to help create my own beer at Smugglers Trail, and regularly judge Foodster Challenges! I've made new friends, and have built this little community into something I am so proud of - and today, I am launching my website!
